Objectivity and integrity	All MI2 data are based on objective, empirically measured data. The validity of the State of Mind Indices and of the derived indices, such as the Terrorism Alert Indices, the likelihood of terrorism, and the destructive potential entailed in economic uncertainty, is constantly checked against and correlated with reported world events. The indices and the correlated events, whether corroborative or not, are included in the EVENTS database and are published.
Flexibility and versatility	Highly interactive analytical charts allow you to quickly select, graph, and compare indices, and moving averages; and to display or graph associated statistics. Combo boxes allow you to quickly select any index or indices you wish to graph or analyze, their kind and type, and any applicable rolling window. Scroll bars allow you to specify any time ranges. Significant results are automatically identified and highlighted, for any indices or time ranges you specify. Highlighted statistical data include: maxima and minima; top ranked values; and highest positively correlated and lowest negatively correlated data. Regressions are calculated and graphed automatically. Histograms, probability densities, and cumulative probabilities are also calculated and graphed automatically. Graphs are produced for both the range you specify and for all the available data, allowing you to quickly see significant changes or deviations.
Custom Worldview	MI2 is equipped with an embedded Worldview that allows you to interpret the meaning and structure of current world events, and to make sense of the people's state of mind. MI2 also allows you to quickly change this Worldview to suit your understanding and interpretation. You can specify whether a correlation between 2 indices is GOOD, BAD, or NOT RELEVANT. For example, you can choose to associate the meaning GOOD with a strong positive correlation between Money and Freedom, and the meaning BAD with a strong negative correlation between Debt and Freedom. MI2 produces automatically the constructive or destructive factors that the indices imply for any date you specify, using your Worldview. The factors are derived from the works of the top philosophers.
Urgency and seriousness	MI2 provides several tools that allow you to assess the urgency and seriousness of potential threats and risks. The Constructive/Destructive Factors Matrix allows you to quickly identify both constructive and destructive factors, as well as GOOD-GOOD consonant factors, BAD-BAD consonant factors, and GOOD-BAD dissonant factors. Constructive factors can be exploited commercially to increase profits or good will. Destructive factors can have serious negative effects on your industry or operation. Persistent BAD-BAD consonant factors must be avoided, mitigated, or even militated, before they can harm irreversibly your operation. GOOD-BAD dissonances provide evidence of disorder, confusion, perplexity, frustration, or anxiety. MI2's Terrorism Search Engine identifies and ranks all Terrorism Alert Patterns (TAPs) that are correlated with the TAP for any time period for which there is empirical data.
