To place an order
for an Expert System Service, please complete all four parts of the Order Form, which you
can access by clicking on 1, 2, 3, and 4 below.
Specify the rules of your Expert
System and the associated uncertainties. For each rule:
Select AND or OR.
If the rule is certain, do not change the
sensitivity and specificity of the rule. If the rule is uncertain, enter the sensitivity
and specificity of the rule, as percentages. The sensitivity is the frequency
with which the rule gives the answer true when its combined inputs are true. The specificity
is the frequency with which the rule gives the answer false when the combined inputs are
false. For a perfectly valid rule, the sensitivity=100% and the specificity=100%.
List the input events in the IF field.
Separate the events with a coma. To specify the negation of an input event, prefix the
event's label with a minus sign (e.g., specify the negation of event E1as -E1).
Enter the label of the output event
(intermediate or final) in the THEN field.
For example: To specify the rule IF (E1AND E2 AND NOT(E4))
THEN E5, select AND, enter E1,E2,-E4 in the IF field of the rule, then
enter E5 in the THEN field.
Print a copy of this page.
Click on SUBMIT, then proceed with Step 4 below.
